For as we all know, joyful anticipation is the best feeling of all. And the wonderful flavor of the food only confirms that the excitement stirred up by the delightful sound of cooking was worth the wait!


Irmgard Wöhrl, winner of the Austrian television series "Frisch Gekocht" (freshly cooked), associates a special passion for cooking with her grandmother. Not only was her grandmother a gifted cook, she also held an extraordinary position; she cooked for the von Trapp family. For the first time, some of her recipes are being published. Easy to duplicate and authentic, they offer a taste of yesteryear for today's world.


Caroline Kleibel began a quest for biographical clues. Inspired by the "simple" life of Johanna Raudaschl, as well as the social and culinary aspects present in the von Trapp household around 1930, "The Sound of Cooking" highlights the story of the von Trapp family in a uniquely tasteful way.
